Terms & Conditions
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms apply when you use anilume.io ("ANILUME", "we", "us"), operated by Anilume.IO. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
ANILUME turns videos you upload into animated versions using AI video tools. Results are generated automatically and can vary; we can't guarantee any particular look or a perfect match to your original.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- Keep your login details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
3. Credits, memberships and payments
- Renders are paid for with credits: 1 credit = 1 second of finished video, rounded up to the next whole second. The cost is shown before every render starts.
- Memberships renew monthly until cancelled. Each paid month adds that plan's credits; unused monthly credits expire at the end of the month and do not roll over. You can cancel at any time and keep your membership until the end of the month you have paid for.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle, who acts as the merchant of record and may handle tax and invoicing.
- Credits bought in packs don't expire. Monthly credits are always used before pack credits. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- A Test Clip (5 seconds, smaller size, watermarked) costs £1.49 or 4 credits. If you order the full video of the same upload within 7 days, the Test Clip cost is returned as credits (5 if paid by card, 4 if paid in credits).
4. Refunds
- If a render fails on our side, you aren't charged for the parts that weren't completed: those credits are returned to your balance automatically.
- If you cancel or stop a render yourself, parts that are already finished or already sent to be animated are charged and aren't refunded, because the animation service has already done that work. Parts not yet sent are refunded in full.
- With the optional "First-part preview", your render pauses after the first part so you can watch it. That part is charged whether or not you continue. If you cancel, parts not yet sent are refunded; if we don't hear from you within 12 hours it is cancelled the same way.
- Under UK consumer law you may cancel a credit pack or membership purchase within 14 days, as long as you haven't used any of those credits. Once you start a render you agree that the digital service begins immediately and you lose the right to cancel for the credits used.
- For refund requests, contact hello@anilume.io.
5. Your content
- You keep ownership of the videos you upload and the animations you create.
- You give us permission to store and process your videos only to provide the service to you.
- You confirm you own your videos or have permission to use them, including permission from anyone who appears in them.
5A. People and their privacy in your videos
- Videos from parties, weddings, festivals and similar events often show other people. You are responsible for having the right to upload and animate that footage, and for any permission needed from the people in it.
- If a child appears, you confirm you are their parent or guardian, or have the parent or guardian's permission. Don't upload footage of children that is inappropriate in any way.
- We process your video only to make your animation, for example to keep each person looking consistent from one moment to the next; we analyse the people and faces in your video (for example to count people, follow them through the shot and check mouth and eye movement) only to make and check your animation. We don't try to find out who anyone is, we don't build facial-recognition profiles, and we don't use your videos to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy.
- If someone who appears in a video you shared asks for it to be removed, you agree to take it down, and you can contact us at hello@anilume.io.
5B. Music and other people's material
- Your animation keeps the original sound of your video. If that sound contains music, performances, broadcasts or other material you don't own, you are responsible for having the right to use it, especially before posting it publicly.
- The same applies to logos, artwork and other material that appears in your video. We don't clear rights on your behalf, and platforms you post to may remove or mute content that uses other people's music.
5C. Safety filters and results
- The AI tools we use apply their own safety filters and may decline footage they flag. If that happens, your render stops and the credits for it are refunded in full.
- Difficult footage (very dark or flashing scenes, fast camera movement, crowds, distant faces, on-screen text, reflections, hands and held objects) can look less accurate. We warn you before you pay where we can detect these, and the optional First-part preview lets you watch the first part and decide whether to continue.
6. What you must not do
See also our Content & Takedown Policy, which explains how to report a video and what we do about reports.
- Upload sexually explicit or nude content, graphic violence or gore, content that promotes self-harm, terrorism or hatred towards a group of people, or any other illegal content.
- Upload anything that shows children in a sexual or otherwise inappropriate way. We report this to the authorities.
- Upload footage of people being abused, harassed or filmed without their knowledge in private places.
- Create misleading "deepfake" content of real people without their consent, or use the service to harass, defraud or impersonate anyone.
- Infringe anyone's copyright or other rights, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
We may refuse a render, remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Animations you create must be labelled as AI-generated where the law or the platform you post to requires it.
7. Liability
We provide the service "as is". Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect losses or loss of profits.
8. Changes
We may update the service or these terms. If we make important changes we'll let you know on the site or by email.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
