Privacy Policy

Anilume.IO is the data controller for personal data collected through anilume.io. This policy explains what we collect and why, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and sign-in information.
• Your videos: the videos you upload, the animations we create, and technical information about them (such as length and frame rate).
• People in your videos: to make and check your animation we analyse the people and faces in your video (for example how many people appear, where they are, and how mouths and eyes move). We use this only for your render, we don't identify anyone and we don't keep a facial-recognition database. This analysis is kept for as long as your videos are, as described under how long we keep data below.
• Purchases: credit purchases, memberships and balances. Card details are handled by Paddle. We never see or store them.
• Messages: anything you send us through the chat box or by email.
• Technical data: basic logs (such as error reports) needed to keep the service running.

Why we use it

• To provide the service you asked for: running your account, rendering your videos and sending render notifications (contract).
• To take payments and keep records required by law (legal obligation).
• To answer your questions, prevent abuse and improve quality (legitimate interests).

We don't sell your data and we don't use your videos to train AI models.

Who processes it for us

• Cloud hosting and database providers, which store your account and files.
• AI video and analysis providers, which process your video only to create and check your animation.
• Paddle, for payments.
• Our email delivery provider, for notifications and replies.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are used.

How long we keep it

Videos and animations are kept while your account is active, or until you delete them. You can delete a render at any time in the Studio. Purchase records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires (normally 6 years).

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@anilume.io. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
